Research and EFRC Organization

The UNCAGE-ME research team is focused on the evolution of materials for clean energy technologies. By gathering experts in chemical separations, electrocatalysis, computational methods, and advanced spectroscopy techniques, we aim to address our mission statement and answer our guiding questions for Phase III of this energy frontier research center. Three research thrusts (materials, degradation, and informatics) will guide the characterization of new materials in clean energy processes, understand the evolution of clean energy materials, and leverage computational resources to better predict and model material properties. The crosscutting hydrogen and carbon dioxide tracks will integrate projects from various thrusts and allow for enhanced collaborations and insights.
